The Nude Gesture
Collection of life drawings by Glenn Locklee
Wednesday, 31 July 2013
Chronologically random pieces of life work done over several years. Most get trashed but some survive. My real art practice is totally unrelated to drawing the figure. I do these for social, therapeutic and joyful mindless pushing of medium around without concerning myself with making a statement. I enjoy most the empathy with the models and other drawers regardless of skill or art philosophies. There are respectful intimacies in these creative exchanges that are a nice diversion from the banalities and anxieties of contemporary existence.
